Hello there! My name is Patrick and I would like to thank you for purchasing, borrowing, or otherwise gaining ownership of a new XY2 or XY3 Finder! If you don’t have an XY Finder, but might like to learn a bit about them you can hang out here too!
The XY Finder series of devices are designed to help you keep track of your valuables by connecting them to a personal network that you control.
In this guide series I’m going to walk you through the setup process and help you master using your XY Finder(s) effectively.
First in lesson 1, we’re going to talk about what to do with a brand new, box fresh Finder. Taking it from plastic in a package to sweet swag on your keyring, purse, or small quadrupedal mammal. We’ll go over syncing it to your phone, keeping it up to date, and we’ll cover some of the common issues encountered at this stage.
Next, in lesson 2, we’ll go over how to make your phone beep your XY Finder to help you find a lost item. We’ll also go over common issues and the limitations of the device.
In lesson 3 I’ll show you how to make sure that your valuables are always near at hand and how to find your phone if you lost it (XY3 only, folks).
Lesson 4 covers what you can do if you want to share your Finders with your family or friends.
Finally lesson 5 is for all of you who know what we mean by IFTTT, Zapier, or IoT (or for anyone who wants to learn about that stuff).
If you found this guide useful go ahead and give it a thumbs up below.

I’ll see you in Lesson 1: From Start to Synced!
